Hampi Tour

Hampi reaffirms my belief that the best trip around the world would be visiting all of the ENESCO World Heritage sites. The entire village of Hampi has obtained this honor and it is well-deserved. The entire modern day village, including the shops, internet cafes, houses, hotels, is built on an archeological site that also happens to be considered a holy place in Hinduism. It is the fabled birthplace of Hanuman, the monkey king from the Ramayana. The ruins are beautiful and we could have spent days exploring them all. The only downside is that, because of its religious importance, there is absolutely no beer.
