If you are anywhere in Goa on a Wednesday, then you need to go to the Anjuna market, which is not so much a market as a village in and of itself. It was started oddly enough by hippie backpackers who traded in crafts in order to raise funds to finance their travels. It has grown into a crazy scene and almost a life force, perhaps. I am pleased to announce that Charlie bought a cricket hat and I hope to post pictures of him in said hat soon. Anjuna is the first place we have really come into contact with hippie backpackers. There is quite a trance scene here and in neighboring towns. The beachside Curlies is the place to be. However, there is a sometimes-enforced, sometimes-not ban on music after 10 pm.
